Rone’s first solo show, opening this Friday!
I love Rone’s work!
If you live/work/play in Melbourne’s inner North then you probably will have seen his stencils around. One of his most prolific was the girl under the bridge on Flinders Street.
Rone‘s stencils are some of the most recognisable of Melbourne’s street art. He is one of the original members of Everfresh, and one of the founders of Backwoods Gallery in Collingwood.
This Friday sees the opening of his first solo show – L’inconnue de la rue – at Backwoods. Yes FIRST, can you believe it? He cites commitments with the gallery and also with the Everfresh crew as reasons why he hasn’t had a solo show earlier. It opens on Friday at 6pm; I suggest you get there early. I’m planning to be there at 5:59, SHARP.
Here is a bit of a teaser to tide you over until the show opens.
