Drewfunk “Parity” opening night @ Paradise Hills

Friday night saw the opening of talented Melbourne artist Drewfunk‘s second show, titled Parity, at Paradise Hills in Richmond.

Parity is much different to his first show, Black Linings, with earthy tones, swirly brushstrokes and multi-layered imagery.  His highly-detailed pieces still prominently feature animals (as well as the odd creepy-crawlie) and he uses a variety of different styles including paint splatters, drips and fine spray in addition to the traditional brushwork.

I think Drew’s new work is stunning, and I only wish I could afford to buy some more art right now!  Drew if you read this – my fave is the one with the mozzies… if you didn’t sell it, keep in mind I have a massive milestone birthday coming up in March :p

I can’t recommend this exhibition enough!  Parity runs until December 10 at Paradise Hills (1-9 Doonside St, Richmond), so check it out.

In the meantime, enjoy some of the mad moves that Kings Only busted out during Drew’s show!
