Heritage Victoria asked Yarra Council what they thought of the proposed redevelopment plans for the iconic Yorkshire Brewery in Collingwood, and Yarra Council’s views pretty much reflect the community’s: too big, too high, bad design.

Read the media release.

Yarra Council is still seeking feedback until November 21.  You can send feedback to Yarra Council, P.O. Box 168 Richmond 3121 or emails to planningadmin@yarracity.vic.gov.au.

  1. Did you know?

Heritage Victoria approved the proposal in April with no reviews or changes made to the plans.

It’s now entirely up to the Council (who thankfully don’t agree) to stop this monstrosity of a development, but I’m still disappointed in HV.
